Project Overview
Main Street Square is a premier outdoor public gathering space in downtown Rapid City, serving as a cultural hub for community events, live music, markets and seasonal programming.
I began my tenure as Event Coordinator and was promoted to Events Director, reflecting expanded leadership responsibilities and organizational trust. In this role, I focused on expanding signature programming, elevating the visitor experience and strengthening the operational foundation needed to support large-scale, year-round events.

Progressively assumed leadership of event strategy, production, operations and budgeting in collaboration with internal teams, city partners, vendors and artists.
What I Did
Concepted and launched new signature events including Golden Hour Live, Splash Patio, South Dakota Mini Made Market and Food Truck Fridays
Refreshed and rebranded Love Squared Bridal Fair into Love Squared Wedding Expo to modernize the event and expand vendor appeal
Contracted and advanced national touring talent, including platinum-selling artists Eve 6 for Golden Hour Live
Managed the event budget and drafted the overall operational budget for Main Street Square
Partnered with the Marketing Director to rebuild and redesign the Main Street Square website
Developed and implemented an online vendor registration and payment system to streamline operations and improve the vendor experience
Coordinated all volunteers, event staff and vendors across multiple large-scale events
Managed all third-party rentals and contracts including staging, fencing, tents, power, audio visual and specialty equipment
Oversaw full event layouts, load-in, setup, strike and teardown for every event
Managed all city permitting including street closures, alcohol permits and special event approvals
Led bid development and evaluation for a new audio visual system to significantly enhance sound quality and overall event experience
